Second Floor: The Master Suite

A new second-floor addition introduces a private master suite designed to blend seamlessly with the original house. The exterior aligns perfectly with the existing roofline, windows, and materials to look like an intentional evolution rather than an afterthought.

Inside, the suite flows naturally through three distinct zones:

  • The Bedroom: Features full-height glass doors opening onto a recessed, private terrace that brings in deep natural light and fresh air.

  • The Bathroom: Functions as a bright sanctuary using a peaceful mix of plaster, warm wood, and honed stone. It features a floating vanity, a frameless shower, and a freestanding tub positioned to catch the morning sun.

Main Floor: Reworked Kitchen & Dining

Downstairs, the heavy masonry archway between the kitchen and dining area was reshaped and heightened. Refining this curve created a lighter, wider opening that opens up sightlines all the way from the front entryway through to the kitchen. This change vastly improves both natural light and social flow, using matching trim profiles and subtle lighting to blend the old architecture with the new.
